Worst drivers by State: New Jersey drivers score better than New York drivers, Louisianna drivers are the worst of all States, Vermont Drivers are the best

“Car Insurance Comparison” looked at:

– the rate of people who died in a car accidents per 100 million vehicle miles traveled,
– the rate of fatal car accidents with traffic safety devices involved,
– the rate of fatal crashes when seat belts were NOT used – the rate of fatal car crashes related to drunk driving – speeding and traffic tickets – the rate of pedestrians who died in a car accident
-the rate of people riding a bicycle who died in a car accident
to determine which states had the best and worst drivers in 2012.

New York drivers ranked the 22nd worst drivers of all states while New Jersey drivers come 32nd. Both States are ranking worse than last year (29th and 39th respectively).

Both New York and New Jersey Drivers scored among the worst when it comes to reckless driving with a very high rate of pedestrians and bicyclists dying in car accidents in both states.

The best drivers in The United States are from Vermont, Utah and New Hampshire and the worst are from Louisiana, South Carolina and Mississippi.
