Two New York police officers were put on desk duty after a motorcyclist they were pursuing died in an accident

Derrick Walters died in a  motorcycle accident as he was being pursued by two police officers last  weekend in Brooklyn, NYC. (See previous  blog). The police are investigating if the two Brooklyn cops violated NYPD policy on vehicle pursuits. In the mean time the two officers were stripped of their shields and guns.
