NYC school teacher arrested for child sexual abuse

A nyc school teacher was arrested for having sex with an underaged victim. 31 year old Zeshaan Naqvi is a teacher at The Young Women’s Leadership School in Jamaica, Queens, a girl only NYC public school serving more than 500 girls in Grades 6 through 12.

The teacher knew that the victim was underage

The sexual predator who lives in Queens Village in NYC met his victim, a teenage girl, online and knew she was underage. They chatted online for 3 months after which the teacher booked a flight ticket to Tampa and a hotel room on Falkenburg Road in Tampa, FL.

According to the The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Naqvi picked up his victim at her home and brought her to his hotel and then brought her back home. He came back a few hours later, picked her up a second time and went back to the hotel with her where they had sex.

He was later on arrested at his hotel by the local sheriff. The victim admitted to the authorities that he new the girl was underage. “It never ceases to amaze us the lengths predators will go to, to get what they want,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement. The sheriff also recommended parents to monitor their children’s online activities.

The predator is facing a long time in jail

Navqi is facing 8 counts of second-degree penalty, each punishable by up to 15 years in jail consisting of seven counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and one count of traveling to meet a minor and using a computer device to solicit illegal acts. He is  held at the Hillsborough County jail with a %60,000 bail.

Navqi has been working for the New Yok City School system since 2014. He has been reassigned from his position pending the results of the investigation.
