Ben B. Rubinowitz to Lecture at the 2026 Trial School Symposium in Chicago
Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf is proud to announce that Managing Partner Ben B. Rubinowitz will serve on the distinguished faculty for the 2026 Trial School Symposium, taking place November 6–7, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois.
The two-day symposium brings together many of the nation’s most accomplished trial lawyers for an intensive educational program focused on courtroom advocacy, jury selection, case strategy, and trial presentation. Designed for attorneys who want practical skills they can immediately apply in the courtroom, the program emphasizes hands-on learning rather than traditional lecture-style presentations.
A National Faculty of Leading Trial Lawyers
The 2026 Trial School Symposium features an exceptional faculty of nationally recognized trial attorneys, including Mike Kelly, Andrew Finkelstein, Doris Cheng, Joe Fried, Rich Newsome, John Uustal, Mel Orchard, Jesse Wilson, Marc Diller, Dr. John Naranja, Jim Perdue Jr., and Ben B. Rubinowitz.
Throughout the symposium, faculty members will not only present lectures but will also lead demonstrations, participate in workshops, answer questions, and provide individualized feedback to attendees.
Ben Rubinowitz’s Presentation
During the symposium, Ben will share his approach to one of the most important aspects of trial advocacy:
“Connecting Jurors’ Values and Beliefs from Voir Dire Through Opening, Evidence, and Final Argument.”
Widely regarded as one of the nation’s premier trial lawyers, Mr. Rubinowitz has spent decades developing persuasive courtroom techniques that help attorneys establish meaningful connections with jurors from the earliest stages of jury selection through closing argument. His presentation will explore how successful trial advocacy begins in voir dire and continues throughout every phase of trial.
An Interactive Learning Experience
Unlike many legal conferences, the Trial School Symposium is designed to maximize interaction between faculty and attendees. Participants will have opportunities to:
- Attend focused educational sessions led by nationally recognized trial lawyers.
- Watch live demonstrations of effective voir dire and jury selection techniques.
- Participate in hands-on workshops.
- Work with live mock jurors and gain insight into how jurors respond to different advocacy styles.
- Receive practical feedback from faculty members.
- Bring one of their own cases for discussion and case-specific guidance on jury selection, themes, framing, and trial strategy.
The symposium is intentionally limited in size to encourage meaningful interaction and individualized instruction throughout the program.
Continuing a Tradition of Trial Advocacy Education
Ben Rubinowitz is a frequent lecturer at national legal education programs and has taught trial advocacy to attorneys and judges throughout the United States. His presentations draw on decades of courtroom experience handling complex catastrophic injury and medical malpractice cases and have made him one of the country’s most respected educators in the field of trial practice.
His participation in the 2026 Trial School Symposium reflects Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf’s longstanding commitment not only to representing injured clients but also to advancing excellence in trial advocacy through education and mentorship.
