Reminder: Marijo C. Adimey to Speak at NYC Bar Medical Malpractice Conference on October 26
Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf is pleased to remind colleagues that partner Marijo C. Adimey will serve as faculty at the New York City Bar Association Medical Malpractice Conference on Monday, October 26, 2026.
Marijo will participate in the session “Trial Practice – Presenting and Defending Damages,” scheduled from 3:40 to 4:45 p.m., alongside Hon. Suzanne Adams, Hon. Lewis J. Lubell, Jonathan Erman, Lisa Haniff, and Meryl Schwartz.
The presentation will address one of the most important and challenging aspects of medical malpractice litigation: how damages are effectively presented, evaluated, and defended at trial. For attorneys handling serious injury and medical negligence cases, the way damages are developed and communicated can play a critical role in helping a jury understand the full impact of an injury on a patient’s life.
Marijo’s selection once again as faculty reflects her extensive experience litigating complex medical malpractice cases and her longstanding commitment to trial advocacy and attorney education.
As a medical malpractice attorney, Marijo has represented patients and families in cases involving catastrophic injuries, surgical errors, delayed diagnoses, birth injuries, and other serious forms of medical negligence. Her work has resulted in significant verdicts and recoveries for clients, including a $60,033,041 medical malpractice verdict in Nassau County in 2025.
That verdict was later recognized by TopVerdict™ among the Top 10 Verdicts in New York in 2025, Top 10 Personal Injury Verdicts in New York in 2025, and the Top 50 Personal Injury Verdicts in the United States in 2025, further highlighting the significance of the result.
The New York City Bar’s Medical Malpractice Conference brings together judges and experienced practitioners to discuss important developments and practical strategies in medical malpractice litigation.
We congratulate Marijo on being selected again to contribute her experience to this important program and look forward to her October 26 presentation.
